He worked during the day and sung the blues at night in local night clubs on Nelson Street. He left Greenville in 1968 to move to Chicago. Eden Brent who won two 2009 Blues Music Awards is from Greenville. She is nominated for Living Blues and Blues Blast Music magazine awards. Brent won the Blues Foundation’s 2006 International Blues Challenge was a 2004 inductee on the Greenville Blues Walk. Brent performed at the 2005 presidential inauguration B.
