Vlatko Stefanovski: Thunder From the Blue Sky
All About Jazz
Be it happy or sad or angry it has never been limited geographically except in some minds and has become a universal language that many people identify with. Vlatko Stefanovski one of Europe’s premier guitarists has always had that blue note in his playing and given the broad spectrum of music genres he has put his fingers to it would have felt incomplete if he hadn’t done a proper all-out blues album during his career. The blues repertoire was also present in his first band Leb i Sol’s earliest playlists as by their own words in the early days whenever they would play all their original material the band would also play blues standards. Stefanovski’s first solo album had two original blues tunes “Life is an pen Road” and “Red Blues” but beside that he has never really delved into the blues area completely.

“When I listened to my first blues song I said ‘This is my music. ’ And it’s still my music” Morbioli said. “I still live to play the blues. ”Since it’s tougher for a blues player to make a living in Italy than in the United States the 44-year-old with GQ good looks has started to make regular treks across the Atlantic.
Humor of the Blues: Rush inspires Brian Sivils to play the music …

He told Sivils and his bandmates that before being drafted and sent to Korea he was the drummer for Howlin’ Wolf. “All the guys I was playing with were laughing about it until one day we were going through an oldies bin and pulled up the West Memphis recording sessions of Howlin’ Wolf and he was on the album credits” Sivils said. “He was very influential in showing me what a real pocket was and how essential it is in blues music. “He also cites local influences like Delta blues duo Po’ Henry and Tookie or guitarist Toby Traylor. Traylor and Tookie Collom often perform with Sivils and he said he’s learned a great deal from both of them and enjoyed playing with them. That in the end is what music is for Sivils. He’s not looking for fame and fortune.

I may buy music for my wife and have it in my iTunes library. Then some “genius” thinks that I like John Denver’s music or the soundtrack from Mama Mia so I get recommendations for that sort of stuff. n the other hand I also get recommendations for jazz and blues indeed today based on “Genius Just for You” I bought some tracks. f course you can thumbs up or down a recommendation but it seems to be an ongoing process.
