Most recently Johns appeared in “Atlanta The Musical” at the Geffen Playhouse in Westwood at UCLA. It was directed by Randall Arney and Adrian Pasdar star of “Heroes” and husband of Dixie Chicks frontwoman Natalie Maines. The production is set during the Civil War and mingles country and blues music by Grammy-winning composer Marcus Hummon. In it he plays lieutenant Virgil a member of a band of misfit soldiers retreating from Gen. Currently Johns is adapting the novel “Nick Maxfield Was Here” into a feature film which he hopes to write and produce. In addition to “Adventures of Power” and “Atlanta The Musical” Johns has appeared on television in “The X-Files” “Days of ur Lives” and ‘The Closer.

And after visiting Berklee I realized I can't force myself to just write blues. Now I'm listening to all styles of music so that I can get more influences and see what happens. “Elektra tried to make my sister and me into Avril Lavigne clones. I'm a lot more grounded now as far as what I want to do and the music I want to play. I won't be a puppet.
