… Chris Strachwitz there’d be no record of some of…
San Francisco Chronicle – Jan 13, 2008
Hopkins took Strachwitz to see some accordionists in Houston whom Strachwitz used to record his first zydeco album in 1961. “When I first got to Houston” he said “it was still the quaint stuff that I recorded on that first zydeco record that I put out all these guys playing their squeeze boxes in these beer joints. They all said ‘h that Clifton Chenier he’s something special. ‘ But he was just trying to be a rhythm-and-blues artist. That French music was just nowhere. To me that was one of the most interesting things I guess I did accomplish because I heard him first playing French in that little beer joint that Lightnin’ took me to. He did nothing but sing in French in that patois and it was the most lowdown blues and I loved it.

All the people were great. ne audience member who was cheering louder than others was Armour’s mother Tina. “My heart was racing but I think he did awesome. I’m proud of all of them… I’m proud of all of them. They practice at my house all of the time. My neighbors ask me how I can handle it but I love their music. ” Wakeman-based band Actions By Age (Ehove Career Center and Western Reserve High School) bounced between a post-grunge foundation (the explicit “Morningwood”) and a metal slant (the heavy “The Worst Has Come”). However this night’s audience didn’t seem receptive to guttural howls and feverish bass grooves. “I noticed that looking down at the crowd” said Actions By Age singer Jon Edler 17. “They were like ‘Whoa where did this come from?’”Up next was.

According to Epelu the type of music first used was slow. With time other patients preferred specific music like rock reggae and ragga. He says in most of the developing countries like Uganda most patients prefer slow music in form of rhythm and blues. In Uganda some hospitals use music to ease or counter patients’ anxiety and depression and to lower their blood pressure. The hospitals include Mulago Nsambya and Mbale.
