The night continued with John Primer and the Real Deal Blues Band and the Blues Caravan 2007 which included the much anticipated “Guitar Women”?Sue Foley Deborah Coleman Roxanne Potvin. “It’s good to see some women Blues’ artists” Laura Kennedy music host for radio station GLT said referring to the ‘three women guitarists. ‘ The two-day event which ended on Saturday July 21 had several sponsors including The Pantagraph Samuel Music Let’s Party Rental Center and The Blues Blowtorch Society Comfort Inn Eastland Chiropractic Center City Beverage Bloomington Cummins Mid-StatesPower Inc. Pro Tire & Automotive Service STLBlues. net GLT and Martin Brothers utdoor Power. Saturday saw a longer day for the festival as gates opened at noon.

”As James Swafford mentioned his association with ctoberfest their friend Jean Bellairs said “I met my husband at the ctoberfest. We dated a year then got married. ” She said she loves Blues music and has been attending the senior spirit dance several years now. At the tables a few people sat eating the free popcorn and cola included in the entry price. “Every one has fun here “ said Angie Jochum director of Senior Spirit activities. “And anyone over 21 is welcome though the majority of our regulars are seniors. ”During a break between songs a couple who had danced every dance sat down at their table.

Achison is described as a “guitarist’s guitarist. ” Growing up in rural Australia he first got a taste of the simplistic complexity of acoustic guitar as an ’80s teen. He hated the new wave style that permeated music at the time and found himself drawn to blues and jazz and “music people created with their bare hands. ” Without any gadgets or electronics he began to form a sound that was uniquely his — with the help of classic blues and jazz artists. “The music of the ’80s was a lot of synthesizers and I thought it was all pretentious and fake then” Mr. “What drew me to (blues and jazz) was its organic-ness.
