Richard Branson?s Virgin Megastore chain froze its acquisition strategy in the spring and in April reported losses of more than £100m over the last two years. The music retail business is struggling to compete with internet retailing and supermarkets. Virgin is one of several music video and DVD retailers that have struggled.
