A large list of blues artistswill soon be available for download to the network of library partners ofverDrive which includes more than 5000 libraries worldwide. Libraries in verDrive’s network will soon have access to music from AlbertCollins Buddy Guy Johnny Winter and other top blues artists availablethrough the Alligator Records label. Little Toby Walker is a finger-style guitarist singer songwriter and storyteller whose music draws from traditional and contemporary blues roots western swing and ragtime. Playing an authentic 1930 National Steel Guitar he paints pictures of his travels to Mississippi Arkansas Virginia and North Carolina and tells of how he learned the blues at the feet of manyold time blues musicians. He has been warmly received at venues and festivals throughout the US France and England and has been featured in the New York Times Blues Revue 20th Century Guitar and Blues in Britain. Closely researched its roots by visiting the birthplaces of blues and roots music throughout America Toby learned from masters including Eugene Powell James Son Thomas Jack wens and EttaBaker. He has contributed articles to Blues Revue magazine and is well known as an instructor at the prestigious Acoustic Sessions School of Music headed by Woody Mann in Manhattan – Carnegie Hall isnow using Toby Walker to present an American Roots program in New York City area schools.
